I was having trouble with connecting to multiplayer so I up graded the DirectX 9b to DirectX9c.
Well after I up graded the DirectX I started having a problem with the aircraft textures when I would switch views the aircraft texture would just go gray.  I up the drivers for FX 5200 to 61.77.
Well I would like to go back to the DirectX 9b it seems that FS9 ran better to me.

I would like check out  FSAutoStart or EndItAll. Where would I find them? ;D

I am running

a AMD thouroghbreed 2700+
  Nvidia GeForce 5700LE
  512 MB Ram 333mhz

get okay results have pretty much all bars maxed out... am looking into more RAM so I hit 1 gig anything else I should worry about to optimize my performance...

my screenshots dont go anywhere near the ones you see on the internet..

what about anti-aliasing or something what is that and how does it affect my FS and should I go bi- or trilinear ??

thanx

Tri-linear should look prettier.  Someone explained it the other day and I forgot already!!

Anti Alias will make your FS2004 look wicked as it will get rid of th jaggies.  Unfortunately it will hit your FPS hard and you wont be able to have the bars maxxed.

Most of the screenies you see you notice there are no jaggie edges, this is bacause Anti-Alias is enabled.  Do not enable it through the game though, enalbe it through your 'Display Properties' bit in the contorl panel.  Click on the last tab (Settings) then hit the advanced button down the bottom right.  You then want to select the tab with your g/card on it (FX5700) then choose 'Performance & Quality settings from the menu.  Turn off Application controlled and set it to 4x for a real smooth picture 2x for better FPS but not quite so smooth.  Also turn Anistropic filtering on here too.  Try 4x or 8x.

Hay yal

Gixer; I took your advice on Anti Alias. I had Anti Alias checked on FS9's setting, and on FS 5200. Well I unchecked Anti Alias on FS9, and just checed Anti Alias FS 5200 I set it at 4X. I'v never seen this game so claer, and it's not all jerky with the cloud cover, and I'v got the cloud setting at 50%. All is well now.

Gixer, and all of the folks that have helped thanks.  ;D

Well, I just completed my system overhaul with Michael at [link=http://www.fs-gs.com]FS-GS[/link]. I had no clue how many problems my system was having, but I can tell you now, my frame rate average has jumped from an average of 10 (even with a nVidia GeForce 6800GT) to we calculated an average of 37 fps.

The biggest acomplishments: I have absolutely NO studder even in the most graphically challenged areas. Even at 30,000 feet I can see buildings below me instead of fuzzy scenery. Nice touch is flying out of Seattle-Tacoma, even before take off, I can see Seattle with all buildings rendered from the airport.

It basically feels asw though I went from a poorly rendered (even though I thought it was good) flight sim 2004, to a brand new upgrade of 2004 that flies more beautifully and looks more stunning than I ever imagined.

Dont ask me how he does it as I wont tell you. You have to use his services yourself to get the amazing results I am getting now, and amazing is a total understatement. Better sum it up as mind boggling jaw dropping slamming to the floor gorgeous

OK I added the .com ;)

As for the cost, I would honestly say right now its priceless. It actually costs $60 Euros (purchased through a European sim company) so not sure what the equivalent is in USD, but I would fathom a guess approx $70 USD, however it is so worth the cost because their service took my computer and FS2004 from being an uncut rock to being a flawless gem that words would be hard to describe. Its a whole new experience. it honestly is.

I WILL be a client of FS-GS as long as I am simming and then some.

The only way I can average even 28 fps is in 860x600 32 res.  In that resolution I can slide everything higher and be fine it seems.  Now, in 1024x768 I can hover around the 22-25 fps average but that all depends on the plane I'm flying.  Certain planes are pigs no matter what the other settings.  For instance, the Fanda Dash-8 panel.  22fps no matter what my display settings are.  Maybe more ram would help for the more demanding panels.  I am hoping with the imminent FS9 patch that performance will be improved at least to what Fs2002 was.  Now, 2002 I can run flat out with little problems.  We'll see.

Hey yall

I have a question, How can I move or create a hanger?
I was flying in Alaska I set down for the night at a small airstrip (6AK). Well I'd like to add a hanger, and a few things, ; so could any one of you advise me on something that would be easy to use for this?  ;D
