Fogged In

Hi all.....do any of you fly around in fog in FS9? If so do any of you get this effect? It don't look right to me  Any ideas please as to what I can do about it..Thanks.

Check your drivers but not all g/cards can produce fog.

The man who knows is ramsa - the words 'fog table emulation' or something like that spring into my mind - but then at my age all sorts of weird things pop into my head for no reason whatsoever

i've never had a problem (fs2002) i open WEATHER and create a thin layer of clouds near the ground and then change VISIBILITY down to what I want IE 1/2 mile or whatever ... works fine for me, hope it does for you.

what are your system and graphics card specs?

Thanks for the replies.... my system specs are AMD3000+ (2.16 GHz), 512 MB Ram and a Radeon 9200 GC.....OS Windows XP.
   I have found the answer to the problem on another website...and some of you might be interested...

 "Indeed it is a problem of a faulty setup of the displays.cfg for ATI Radeon 9000/9100/9200 vid cards. You have to open displays.cfg in the FS9 root directory, scroll down to the "ATI Radeon Win2k/XP" section and insert "TableFog=0" twice, so the entry looks like this:"

Not sure just who the guy is who posted that but I sure am grateful  :-*

Don't forget to make a backup copy of the display .cfg just in case you cock it up while adding the new lines

Very pretty Bill ..but where's the FOG.  I may need to tweak my Radeon  a bit but mine is more like the   real "pea souper" I was after to test out my ILS skills  ;D
