I'm going out on a limb here and assuming that your installing from Original cds?

Reason i say this is I had a guy I know that got a hold of illegal copies and wanted me to help him install it, problem was similar as yours.
The copies he had were burned to a dvd, he didn't have a dvd drive on his computer, so they wouldn't install.

If it is the original disc do you have "auto-run" enabled? (unclear in your post) if not try that. Also check to see if the disc is scratched happens sometime.

mind you I'm not accusing you of using illegal copies just that it was familar how you stated your problem!

I've picked up illegal copies of software from swap meets. All the packaging looked legitamate(sp) but I found out later trying to get support...nope.

So, like what Politically Incorrect says, the question doesn't mean you're a crook, just a possibility.
What do computers and air conditioners have in common?Image
They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.

Nothing happened with autorun disabled. The cd works in other pc, so it is not scratched. Although i can install windows media player 9 that is included in the cd. I run setup and it stops in 3 seconds. I don't understand.

Well then this is odd. Something definately isn't working right.
I'm clueless right now but hopefully soon someone else can give you help!
