I tried X plane and yes the terrain was definatley getting there but all in all I thought it reallly SUCKED. The ATC sounded like a computer and the airplanes were CFS stall machines as far as im concerned and the user interface was crap to. Theres my 2 cents on X plane :)

Well they use accurate physic. ( but ya the interface is mac like.) i did a test on a cessna you put some flap you give some power and at a certain speed the airflow it self will lift the plane. ( IE you have to force it to stay on the ground).

on FS9 you can drive off the strip without it lifting. onless you touch your stick just a bit it wont lift.

on x-plane. exacly the same as on a real cessna.

why do you think that when you get your introduction course on a cessna, they always let you make the take off. because it will take off anyway. might as well give you the impretion that your doing something good. hehehe

anyway this i would like to see fix on fs9. as for the rest i would'nt want to leave you guys for other xyz forum. they just need to bring it up just a noch. fs10 could be so much more than a game.

with all the map and plane and hello and name it build for fs9. it as to keep on going and it as to improve. I have used the first fs on a c64 and i am still at it.

MS needs to focus more on practicals than eye candy.  The blazes with a bunch of bridges.  Anyone who can read a vor, chart, tune a frequency and rotate an OBS could give a rats backside about whats on the ground.  Scenery???  Watch the travel channel, I want to fly without spending $6k-$8k USD.  MS needs to develope a flightmodeling process similar to X-planes that can look at a models geometry and kick out an accurate flight dynamic.  Also, the effort they spent on those silly bridges could have placed basic LNAV capable FMC's in the airliners or expanded their little fake garmin to be more like a reality XP model.  And yes. What would be wrong with them creating a one for all flightsim app that can do damages and weapons so as to be expandable into a combat sim????  Well, they wouldn't make as much $ that way I suppose? Or would they? Are there those that do CFS and not the civil sims???
