How to delete aircraft?

Postby mapguy » Wed Sep 15, 2004 4:45 am

I hope this isn't a stupid question.  I have a few aircraft that I want to get rid of.  Mainly F2k2 aircraft that do not work in F9.  I have tried deleting them from the folder but they still show up in FS9.

I usually delete them from my aircraft-folder using explorer. They don't stick around that way...

They leave gauges behind sometimes too, to I use FlightSim Manager to delete them...

What I fell is the best way to remove unwanted aircraft and there gauges is to first print out the panel cfg file if it is alised then you do not have to worry about gauges.
If it has its own panel then the cfg file will list them. Than I just go down the list and remove them. After that I delete the planes folder and that is that. I do not like the programs that claim to remove unused gauges they have a bad habit of removing .cab file since to them they are a unused gauge.
But no matter which way you do it ALWAYS BACK UP BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING. 8)
