Postby Andres89 » Fri Aug 27, 2004 2:06 pm

I have seen CFS2 planes been put in FS9, I'm just wondering if it's possible to put planes from CFS3 into FS2004 ??? Has anyone tried this before and is it possible. Thanks

I dont think it can be done, CFS3 is the first in the series to use a different engine to MSFS so the aircarft in CFS3 have a different file system.

CFS3 uses a different model system, instead of using a mdl file for the model it uses a m3d file. The construction within the model is quite different, particularly in the part naming hierarchy. It is possible to make a CFS3 model and a FS9 model form one source file but it is alot of work, more so than making a CFS2 model work in FS9.
