This can happen if there is a problem with one of the planes folder or a problem with the aircraft cfg file. I had this happen to me with a plane and found out that the aircraft cfg file had a minor problem in it. I am currently having a problem with a md80 it use to work fine but lately if I try to use it I get a error massage fs9 shuts down then my computer crashes. But I am using windows ME which I swear if you look at it hard it will crash. I have not had the time to check it out to find out what has happened. I suspect it is trying to load a guage or a bitmap that I no longer have.

MAPGUY: I've had the same problems with other planes, but I have the EXTRA 400 in and it does OK.,but ever computer is different. May I suggest that you remove the panel from the plane and try to launch the 400 and see if it comes up OK. If this fixes the problem I suggest that you put another panel from some other single prop plane in the 400 and see if it works. If another panel fixes the problem then it's probably one of the gauges in the 400 panel. I would put the 400 panel back in and start elimininating gauges 1 or 2 at a time until I found out what gauge it is. Save your 400 panel somewhere you can get to it, to put it back in and also save the gauges you remove while you're testing. Hope this might help you . Mike C.
Hi Garymbuska do you get better improvements using windows Millenium instead Windows xp,as you Know the kernel of win me is a mask of win98,in your opinion does fs9 runs better in win me,im very interested in that issue, waiting your reply cheers Gary
