What's the difference between terrain mesh sampled at 30M & 70M?

terrain mesh complexity i think is the details, how extended do you want it from the ground or surface if you want it 100m the details will extended for a hundred meter(less memorie to your grafic card)details in the texture ground
ex.asphalt little rocks on the ground are visible in 100m instead if you set it in 20m you wont see it more than that

I'm not too sure about mesh measured by LOD (I bet Holger over at the BFU forum could explain that) but the difference between 30M and 70M is the sample spacing. With 70M mesh a sample of ground height is taken every 70 meters. With 30M it's taken every 30 meters. Thus with the 30M mesh you are getting a more accurate mesh because you will see details of anything more than 30 meters across. Of course the 30 meter mesh will also have more data (because it has to have a level reading for every 30 meters instead of every 70)which means it's harder on your system performance.
