How do I gas up my plane?
I've seen screenies of planes beside gas pumps and stuff.... but it doesn't make sense, does the sim gas the plane on touch down?

after you land you taxi to the pump thats at the aiport (you might have to look for it) and it automatically refuels you when youre close enough, I didn't know that until recently too ;D

No.  Just like in real life some airports do not have fuel pumps.  That is where the planning comes in.  If you are going to an airport that has no fuel service, you need to plan enough fuel to get from departure to destination and back to departure or an airport that has services.

In FS I am not sure how you can tell which ones have fuel and which don't.  Maybe someone has noticed something I haven't.  On a real sectional chart you can tell by the airport icon.  If it is a circle with no barbs there is no services.  If it has barbs it has services. ;D

I agree with codered, not all airports have pumps.. However, if u run out of gas in the middle of a flight you could simply refuel using the aircraft menu..

A way to tell if an airport has a fuel pump or not is to check the GPS; dial the airport's code in the GPS airports' panel, the GPS will display general informations about that specific airport like location, altitude, and fuel pumps!

If both methods fail..... Well, say ur prayers buddy!  ;)
Happy flyin'!

Your first help station should be the "Learning Center", when you start FS you'll see the Learning Center link on the left of the screen, there you'll find more than enough information and step-by-step guides to help you decode the new fancy GPS..

If you still need more informations don't hesitate to ask, the forums are always up to the rescue!  ;)

thank you... but my computer is eaten up with every non-positive application in existence. I do not have FS on here now, my dad has to get a new virus scanner before I can.

I'mm learning alot to deal with my withdrawl... ehehe. so learning centre isn't an option at the moment.

If it's that bad then probably your best option will be a complete reinstall of everything. Some of those viruses are extremely hard to get rid of. A virus scanner is good to keep them from getting on in the first place but their cleaning capacity isn't the best in the world.

I've cleaned a lot of computers and usually I have to go in by hand and remove the files and registry entries to get rid of a virus. It takes some knowledge and a lot of time. If you have kept things backed up the way you should then the easiest and safest (preventing reinfection) is to just reinstall everything.

We're gonna delete every thing and start over, but I gotta get a scanner first. Then I'm home free.

This isn't necissarily directed at anyone here, but for the people who feel "guilty" about using the refuel menu while on the ground, you're NOT cheating!  Although I only have limited experience with small airport operations, from what I know I can tell you that planes do not pull up next to pump as if it were a gas station.  The truck comes to you!  Alas, using the refuel menu when ont he ground is not cheating after all!
