Initialization Failure on FS2004

Postby magicman » Sun Aug 15, 2004 6:04 am

After installing a S-3B Aircraft and trying it out I loaded some AI and did some adjusting to the aircraft file.
When I went to start the FS92004 it came up with this;
"Initialization Failure S3-B"
and wont let me start it.
I have removed the Aircraft file but it still is the same
Can someone help please????????????????

Did you install any gauges into the gauges folder?
I have had this problem before and come to find out it was a bad gauge which I had installed into the fs9 gauges folder......Just an idea...Hope ya get it fixed  ;D

that often happens to me in fs2002. try this ... when A/C initialization failure pops up hit enter. fs2002 goes to the airport you have selected and puts the LAST USED A/C on the strip. then hit select aircraft & change to the new one ... which usually shows up in the slect a/c file. good luck

Try renameing your fs9 cfg file than restart fs it will build a new one. You will start at the default location with the default aircraft. If this works just go to the airport you wish to start at switch to the aircraft you want than save making it he default flight.
If this does not work it's back to the drawing board.

I had this exact situation!!!!

You can hold down the ctrl+shf key while the sim is starting up. This will auto re-set the FS9.cfg file.

You will not lose anything except the preferences settings that you enter into the options menues.
