i was woundering if someone could help with nav. so say i have picked the airport to land. i have the irl of the runway. how do i set to so it will line me up with it? thanks for the help

I gather you mean ILS not irl
If you open the map view than click on the airport it will display all of the run ways & give you the nav setting and course setting of any ils runway. Just set nav1 to the freq. then set your course not your heading to the approiate setting & make sure your nav gps switch is set to nav. when you get close enough you should pick up the glide slope then follow that in. Pay attention to the bar on either side of the arrow as that tells you which side of the runway you are on.
If this confuses you I suggest you go to the learning center and read up on NAVIGATION.
