Merida (svmi)its between los andes cordillera and it's 5400 feet high and doen't have ILS

Alrot ~ Will give SVMI a try......nothing like a little excitement to make you flying memorable.  Plus it's always fun to see new places!

Great shot of the C-130 Budd!  Nice flair, full flaps, 4 turning and burning (turbo-props smoke a lot).....way cool!    One thing you captured in your screen shot are those different ILS landing lights at Male International.....I never did figure out what the ones running parallel to the runway are for.  

ALROT ~ I gave SVMI a try...Maiquetia is beautiful and fun.    Interesting landing on runway 8 with no ILS plus the touch down point is right between the buildings and the control tower!.....at least in FS9....  Fun!  

Hey, try VHHH in Hong Kong - Kai Tak...there is a great bridge to fly under.....even in a heavy!  Straight out aprox. one mile from the end of runway 7L under your left wing....give it a go!

How about KORD?  The amount of runways and airtraffic there makes instruments nearly a must.

Budd ~ Great screen shot...and the B-58 Hustler has always been one of my all time favoriate airplanes.  Looks like you had enough room to make a clean pass, even if you did have to slow down a bit!!

I see that a couple of people higher up this thread were using full flap when trying for minimum ground roll take offs.

Full flap = lots of drag = longer takeoff run.

Recommended flap for take off is almost always much less than full, with the possible exception of light aircraft with only one flap setting.
