One Week With FS9

Postby Sobby » Sat Aug 07, 2004 5:09 am

Well, I have had FS9 for almost a week now ;D
And it is great ;D

Wehn I started flying with the FS series, it was FS98 at my uncles one day, then CFS1 another day ;D

Then about a month or so later my Dad got me a copy of CFS1, and I was hooked ;D
Then when I discovered downloads awhile later it became more fun 8)
At that point I hadn't thought of getting any of the other FS titels, mainly because I prefer military avaition to civil ;D
But anyway one christmas I got FS2000 after my friend had about two months before chiristmas ;D
Now I was thrilled with FS2000 and it didn't ware off until my friend got FS2002 ;D
So I flew the game at his house and thought it was great :D
So onto the internet to check the price and then..............

ROFL - Glad to see you're enjoying yourself; Budd!
Yep; one of the fun things of the M$ sim series has been watching it progress and improve over time - I kinda look for the next generation like the kids look for the prize at the bottom of the cereal box - you know it's coming; but not quite what it'll be like.

And yep; the moddability of the series is IMO its best feature. :)

Cheers!

Whatv makes this game fun is doing stunts with planes that aren't made for stunts (Cessna) and planes that theoreticaly counldnt even dream of it (Any boeing)

like my stunt:

I took off with a boeing 737-300 out of my home airport, took it up to 3000 barrell rolled it up side down, flew it to 50000 from there, and then pulled back hard for a instant direction change. I was able to regain strait and level at 2000.  :o SCARY STUFF!

ofcoarse over stress was disabled. None-the-less tough to do.

Hey Budd, I'm glad you like FS9-its an amazing improvement over the previous versions (especially in the weather catagory).

I just checked, you can download the new POSKY 757 over at http://www.avsim.com.  Just go run a search for "Project Opensky" and you should be able to find it.

Hey, Budd ~ Glad you are here with all of us...and I couldn't agree with you more.....this forum makes all the hours of flying worth while...kind of like the opperations chat room or lounge where you can sit back, relax, tell "war stories", share photos, share adventures and in general just get to know each other.  Great people and great fun!  To tell you the truth I don't know which one I enjoy more.....flying the simulator or reading all of the great threads.  The help and advice received are invaluable.  Perhaps someday we will all meet each other in person....wouldn't that be great!!   ;)    I Love this place!!   :)
