WHAT DOES THE AIR BREAKS IN THE PANEL
DO I HOPE I DONT SOUND SILLY BUT I JST
WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THAT IT DOES PLS

hi, i think the air breaks makes you desend quicker, i think, but not 2 sure, i think thats right, lol, if not then sorry

Air brakes are those things you see on the wings when you deploy them.  Also called spoilers.  When you land, you deploy them, and it makes it where the wing can't produce as much lift anymore, and also slowing it down.  There are other ways to use spoilers also.

BUT THE BREAK INSIDE THE PANEL THERE A
KNOB YOU CAN SWITCH WHERE IT SAYS
AIR BREAK I JST WANT TO KNOW WHAT DO
YOU USE IT FOR WHILE YOUR DESENDING
OR WHILE UR ON THE GROUND

Use the Air Brake to bleed off airspeed. Spoilers and air brakes have 2 very different functions. Whereas spoilers are wing leading edge mounted and "spoil" the airflow over the wing surface to decrease lift and make the aircraft more manoeverable at low speed. Air brakes are mounted either on wing surfaces or rear fuselage surfaces. Usually, when deployed, they are very fast and have an instant effect. Hope this helps :P

You would use the air brakes / or spoilers to drop speed while decending, or whenever you need to(just not to close to the deck!)

spoilers or spoilerons are usually found on commercial jets use them to drop speed but beware they also "spoil" airflow over the wing, which makes it have less lift therefore also dropping altitude, you also use them after you land to help slow you down (drag factor) and  to make sure you don't go airborne again

air brakes on military/or some GA aircraft is the same idea ,except they use drag to slow down the aircraft

I wonder if Venomer is talking about the AutoBrake knob?

If so, Isn't it linked to the spoilers. Not sure here, Heck, I don't even know what feathering is. But, If you "arm" the spoilers, they will activate upon touchdown. Doesn't the AutoBrake knob, determines how much spoiler is used?

SKittles Feathering is a process where a porpeller turns vertical with the wind therefore providing no forward thrust. If you had a engine problem with a propeller air craft you would feather that engine you would loose thrust from that engine but because the prop is feathered it would not produce a lot of drag either but it depends on the design of the prop it self. Not all porpeller aircraft have this abality such as most singel engine cessnas and piper air craft. These aircraft have what is called a fixed pitch prop. The King Air 350 is a good example of a non fixed prop you can contorl the angle of the prop. If you look closely at the king air with the engines off the props are in a feathered posistion before you start them.In fs they become unfeathered as they come up to speed but in the real world you have to set them to ground idle to take them out of the feathered posistion 8)
Also what you are arming are the airbrakes not the spoliers. Spoilers are on the leading edge of a plane they hlep to slow the aircraft down a little the air brakes on most commerical planes are designed to unload the wing causing it to loose lift quickly but if only partially deployed they can help you to slow down.
Autobrakes are just that they applay brakes once you land the higher the number the more brakes are applied
