microlight was kind enough to send me his optimized .air and .cfg files.  I have FS00 so I had the other original MS files (about the only thing 00 is worth).

If you have 00 there some instructions but they are horribly complicated.  There is a .doc file at AVSim that's much simpler.

It isn't that hard to fly.  With the simplified instructions I got it up to cruise speed (mach 2) and alt (FL500) in about 200 miles, turned around and landed successfully the first time.  I just completed a flight from Miami to San Francisco in 2:15, and landed an hour before I took off!

The MS panel needs some work (don't they all?) but a few mods took care of that.  There is an alternative that microlight likes better (look in the library) or I'll send you my mods of the MS panel(for FS02 - better GPS, throttle and radio stack and added TCAS).

Edited to correct typo and time zone calculation.

for some reason, I cant get the d*m thing to go over
mach 1 without getting "overspeed"

I thought it cruised at at least Mach 2?

I looked in the aircraft.cfg and it says
"max_indicated_speed=530.000000"

but for crusing speed it says
"cruise_speed=1346.000"

how is tha max speed lower then the crusing speed

I confuzed!

Max cruise apparently takes into account the fact that you are at FL 500 - 600.  At that altitude an IAS of 530 is well within Mach 2 range.

btw how do you do the math again (for indicated to true) its something like (altitude/10000) x (IAS) or something like that, it was in my mathbook or something i forget stuff.

sorry I think it might have been backwards
flying at 60,000 ft, about 221 kias would be Mach 2 or something like that

I don't bother to do the math.  Everything is KIAS to me.

I don't know whether you can get the original MS version without getting FS 2000.  There are plenty of textures and panels in the library here http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/perlf ... q=concorde

You need concorde.gau. You can download it from the library but I'll just email it to you.

Oops - too big for email.  Download it here (3rd from the top)
http://www.simviation.com/fsgauges6.htm

PS - Put the file in your /gauges folder.

Make sure you DON'T set the fuel level at 100%! If you do your CG will be very messed up and that can cause problems. Also if it is at 100% the fuel transfer system is unable to do its stuff and adjust your CG. I've never had problems with the Concorde and can even make a successful approach to Kaitak in it so it must be something you are doing wrong :P.

True.  I wish someone had warned me about this before I figured it out by trial and error.
