Yep, I must agree with all of that, anyone that thinks their simming would prepare them to fly even the simplest of planes would be in for a big shock.

Everyone has their own ideas of where the Sims fall down, for me it's a matter of vision and perspective from the pilot's seat to the terrain.     I know how to use all the views available but often find having made a turn to line up that something has gone wrong along the way that wouldn't have if you actually been sitting in the seat with the ability to  use your peripheral vision.

Having said that, what do you expect from that price ?

Do you like playing/running FS2004?

Yes

Do you feel a sense of accomplishment after landing successfully?

Yes

To me those are the important questions!

If its a game....I love it.....if its a simulator....I love it....whatever you want to call it, I have never had so much fun seeing the world, learning the lingo, figuring out "how to get there", being a part of a great forum like this, having a sense of accomplishment (like jordonj) says and being able to fly aircraft that you will never be able to fly usless you figure out a way to get the "Spirit of St. Louis" away from the Smithsonian.  After all, wasn't it imagination that created aircraft in the first place?  This is a exercise in using your imagination.    
Why is it that I can't eat lunch until I land....even if the wife calls me 3 or 4 times? Yes, I know I could hit pause or save the flight and come back later....but darn it i'm in the landing pattern!  Could I (as the pilot)  eat lunch while landing during a real flight?  No....have to land first, you know...then eat lunch?
I just wish there would of been something like this when I was a kid.....I would have became a pilot for sure!
