Remove text?

Postby Scottler » Mon Jul 12, 2004 1:57 pm

Hey, is there a way to remove the simulation rate text in the top right corner?  I know you can eliminate some of the other stuff in the .cfg, but I can't remember how to do it or if that would even work for this.

I just wanna get rid of it so I can do some vid work.

Thanks!
Great edit, Bob.

Just press the R key then - or + if you change the rate then answer atc then try to rechange the rate it wont do it you need to press the R key first followed by + or -
If the letters 2X is showing then press R followed by the - key once this should remove the display.

In FS9.cfg MAIN section add the line...

HideInfoText=1

This gets rid of the brakes, parking brakes, replay, zoom, overspeed, Sim Rate... etc.

Be forewarned, if you use the SHFT-Z data display often, this tip will remove that as well.
