Taxi and landing lights are part of the model for that plane
I am not sure if you can change them without redesigning the plane. I knew there is a section in each planes aircraft cfg file that describes the lights but not sure if this controls where you can see them from.
AS for the piper that is the ideal way that any plane is supposed to take off. If you have the flaps set and the trim set correctly then the plane will lift off at a certain speed with little or no effort on your part, Other than using the rudder to adjust for prop effect on propeller aircraft.

About the lights...yeah, I was afraid of that.

The second part...well I know that is how planes are supposed to work, it's just that the Ciper seemed to do it better than the Cessna (the one that came with FS2004).

I ALWAYS set the trim to TO on the wheel, and flaps are at 10 degrees.

Too bad about the headlights, the dashboard off the Piper looks WAY nice.

with the cessna 172, in real life give it about half a mile of runway space and it will pull right up
