Landmass elevations

Postby whiteice » Thu Jun 03, 2004 12:13 pm

Hi,
just down-loaded a freeware scenery zip file called 'New York and New England 1-Arc Second LOD 10 Terrain Mesh'.  Followed all the install instructions and it works great, in the U.S., (+35 fps.) - The area also covers a portion of Canada, (southern Ontario) and some of the airports, lakes and other landmass [in that area] now have the wrong elevation.  Short of re-installing FS 9, any suggestions?
Thanks a lot.

Such problem areas are found to some extent in many terrain mesh addons.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Payware is likely a better choice.  Entire USA for $35 . Landclass separate payware or both for about $40.  I did the separate payware. No problem with floating airports etc.
