Runways

Postby Eskimo » Fri May 21, 2004 4:13 am

This is a very simple question that could be hard to answer:

What is the longest runway in FS9?

i think it is 5000m. dunno how many feet that is, but im sure its the longest 1 that AFCAD will allow you to make.
of course, you could put a few, end to end ::)

I do not know the code for it But I would imagine the salt flats runways are probably the longest in the US. 8)

The answer to your question is "the ocean".
Anyone that flies amphibs can tell you that! ;D

If you meant the longest paved runway then try X68
I am not sure that it is the longest, but that is what my sources are telling me.

I agree it must be one of the longest its huge, When I was out flying in the states last year I flew along the Runway at 500ft and it took ages but I dont think they allow that anymore for obvious reasons, Anyway Im waffling again. The 3 letter code is (X68).

I am also assuming X68 is the longest in FS9 but Denver Intl's (KDEN) Runway 16R-34L is 16,000 ft long!  :o You can download that runway here on SimV because it's new and is not included with FS9.  ;)
