A/C views

Postby Nek » Thu May 06, 2004 11:30 pm

Hi Folks

I just downloaded a whole bunch of fs9 updates for my
favorite a/c the venerable Lockheed Tristar.
The problem is that when I go to the the "nearest" outside view of the a/c (on the ground or in flight} the image is so large it doesn't even fit the screen (17 inch). My resln is always 1024X768. No other a/c show up this way and I've got a ton of em. I assume the problem is in the "air" file and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a program to dig into air files. Or  could the problem be something else?

Thanks / Nek

Hi Nek. When you say "nearest outside view" do you mean Tower view or Spot view? If it's Tower view try it at another airport or move the aircraft. If it's Spot view try zooming out a little. The scale of the aircraft is defined in the MDL file so there's not much you can do about that. Larger aircraft will obviously look bigger on screen than smaller ones. You can usually tell what it will be like by how it looks in the preview window on the FS9 selection menu. This has nothing to do with the size of your monitor or the display resolution.
