keyboard sensitivity

Postby mc581 » Thu May 06, 2004 12:27 am

I don't mind using only the keyboard but for the sluggish up and down control (pitch and yaw?)
Left and right is ok when using 5 button to center control. how do I do this for up and down?
Can I edit a cfg file and lessen or increase sensitivity?
Thanx,
Marcel

Dunno, but get yourself a Joystick if you can possibly afford it - the whole thing suddenly becomes much more enjoyable.       Prior to my getting one, landings were a total lottery.

hey

Bazza's right, you gotta get urself a joystick. cos i had the keyboard and was fine with it, but then i got my joystick and i cn never go back, there is just no control with the keyboard and you cannot react quickly enough

but if u cant afford one or dont want one for some other reason you'll have to stick with the unsensitivness of the elevators. the game really wasnt made 4 keyboards to be honest.

but heres a tip(not 100% sure if this applies to fs2004) left click the screen while in flight and click "mouse as stick", i did it in combat fs and it made it a little easier

good luck

I am not sure as well if this option is present in FS2004 (not present in FS2002). You may try Mouse As Yoke add-on (free) if it is not present. However It was not so practical.

You can adjust the sensativity of the keyboard without having to change any thing else there is a menu item for that. But I still would recomend a joy stick. I use the microsoft sidewinder it works great it has rudder and throttle control and it is not that expensive.Unless your system does not have a game port a joystick is around 20 to 30 bucks. If you have to buy a game port you are probably looking at 100 $ or so. 8)
