Hmmmm...Oh Dear

Now what should I do

Remember I said the carrier off San Francisco is really too small by half - the wingtips of the AI F18s overlap when they taxi past each other - well what you see here is a new BIG San Francisco carrier

Image

This one happens to be twice the size of the original one which you can see in the background. It can be any size really to be ideal for carrier ops.

Now I'm thinking maybe put it in the Frisco area but further away from the original, transfer the F18s to the new one and maybe have just the Hawkeye and some helis operating as AI of the original one. Or if not helis, maybe Harriers (which I've not tried yet)

Whaddayathink?

Sounds good to me Roger, but can you move the island so I can practice my An-225 landings? :-*

If you land the antov let me know I got a L10-11 that is just dying to land on a carrier. I figure if the antov can land and it is twice the size of a L10 I should not have any problems. 8)

Sounds like a winner to me 8) You think if i put an arresting hook on the L10 I wont hit the island ;D
Better turn off crash detect to safe I would hate to make a big mess on the flight deck. I will give it a shot tonight hope there are no sharks in the area in case I miss.

Can you make it so its compatable with the tail-hook gauge thing and modify the Air Force 1 from Meljet so it have a tail hook. ;D

Already tried to land it w/o the tail hook, its impossible.

P.S. how do you work the tail hook gauge anyway?

Pete, haven't seen or used it meself but I think there's a F14 panel that has cable and cat 'gauges'. There was a thread about the problems one or two guys were having just a couple weeks ago,

Presumably you could use CFGEdit to copy these into other panels as well.

But I may be wrong ::)

PS yes I will be uploading the package when it's 'done' trouble is I keep adding a bit more to it but I can see the end of it now.

Looks great, would like to see one off the coast of San Deigo, might call it the Reagon since that is one of the newest carriers.

Will be watching for the upload.

;D Great minds. I've already put one there since the original FS2002 one was replaced by a cruise liner!

The California package will have the San Diego one and a new 'large version' San Francisco carrier a couple of miles across the Bay from the present one.

For technical reasons that I won't go into it looks as though only the new San Francisco carrier will be able to have AI. The original will have a few bits of eye candy on it but it won't be able to have AI.

I can't go into the details at present.

I haven't decided yet whether to add a third. If I did maybe somewhere a bit further north. Any ideas?

You could put one in the puget sound area. The Lincoln was stationed there back in 99. Probably still there so it wouldn't look out of place.
