Stone Mountain

Postby Super_Game » Tue Apr 13, 2004 8:45 pm

Last night I started FS9 in the Hartsfield airport (ATL), and wanted to see the famous stone mountain. I searched everywhere around Atlanta to find it but to no avail.  :-[ Anyways, if anybody has seen it, could you please tell me where it is, or if anybody knows a great add-on for it, placing the Stone Mountain near Atlanta, that would be great too. Thanks.

The Stone Monntain Scenery and Atlanta Building (0ver 100) as well as a seperate scenery for Turner Field are by Bill Malony.  Search for his name on the sites.  The buildings are especially good and look great at night.   ;)

Sometime back I found a mesh for the area that put Morro rock in place, but the hit on the fps was to much. That was in FS2k2, now that I have FS9 I can't find it again to see if it is anybetter in FS9.

Not only is it a major feature on the west coast it is also listed on some of the charts as a referrance point. How M$ left it out is beyond me, yet they put the hydro power plant in the scenery.

Morro Bay

It's missing.  Power plant is there but not the rock.

My terrain mesh is 30 meters basis satellite, LOD 10 at 38 meters.  It does pick up prominent terrain my area.
