R.W.W. Where does it go?

Postby Politically Incorrect » Sun Mar 21, 2004 8:03 am

I was curious (as always ;) )
When you download Real World Weather, where does it go?
Into a temp. folder?
Or is it just installed into the sim for that session and then deletes itself after shutting down the sim?
I look around and can't find a folder with anything in it, so?
Curious because I download it everytime I fly and want to know if it is filling a folder somewhere with outrageous amounts of MB's.

Just did some checkin by getting rww and then doing a file scan.

Appears if it goes anywhere  it might/must go into the 'program generated temporary flight'  saved flight files (.flt and.wx) found in My Documents\Flight Simulator Files.

In XP any way.

Cheers,
Dave
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

all weather is saved in the same place as your flight files are and will be in a different location for each type of window system.  But the quickest way to find them is to scan for any files with the wx ending like recent_weather.wx
