? on sound.cfg file editing

There really is no forum actually designated to put this SOUND question into........ it's not scenery design....and it is not 3D aircraft design..... and it's not repainting....... so it's going in here (FS2004) for now.

Welcome to the world of FS
This is one of the biggest problems out there People design three or four engine air craft than use a two engine panel and sound file for it. What I try to do is look for a good panel and sound file for the plane in question. and usually find one that will work. It might not be the exact sound but at least it has the right number of engines for it. If I can not find one than I will either will put the plane in a special folder I have in hopes I might find one eventually or Square file 13 it.
I have never messed with the sound files but from what I have read they can be rather diffuclt to work with. Lots of luck in trying to make your own.
