How do I eliminate the heading hold when I select autopilot?

Thanks!

It's usually off by default and the button on the radio or ap gauge that says HDG will be dark.  Click on it to turn it on (it will light up) and click on it again to turn it iff.

I'm sorry.. my question wasn't quite clear..

When I press the autopilot button on some aircraft it automatically levels the wings and I cannot turn left or right.

I have done it before in the past where I went into the config file I think and changed some #'s around, but I forgot where I found the instructions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
