If it just appears black this has been a common problem. My bro had it. Go get the latest drivers from www.nvidia.com and install these.  remeber to remove old drivers first though before installing new ones.

New drivers will fix the problem. Until then you can try it in Window Mode instead of Full Screen. This is the fix that worked for people when ACOF first came out and the graphics card companies hadn't released the drivers that fix the problem yet.

Thanks to all for the help,I have downloaded drivers and installed them but still no luck. However,I am quite dumb when it comes to working with computers so I havent as yet tried it with old drivers uninstalled(dont know how to) so when I get this sorted I will post my findings. Thanks again.............p.s.  I will try using window view as a quick fix as soon as I have logged off. :)

Goto control panel. Choose add/remove software.  Find your old drivers in the list and click on remove.  Once you done this i suggest you reinstall the new ones just to be sure!!

May be an issue with directX as comes in the FS9 package. Go to MS and install Direct9.0b, see if that helps.

Cheers,

Ok boot into safe mode. Un-install drivers.  Re-start pc.  On re-start it says new hardware found bla bla dont install anything then! click on cancel and let windows finish loading.

Once finished and run your latest Nvidia driver file which is 53.03 i think.  xp does not put the latest drivers on there for you!!

Thanks Gixer and Dave,I've tried both of your suggestions but still no joy.Looks like i had better just get used to flying in virtual cockpit only for the time being or go back to using fs2002.Its a real shame because the only reason I've upgraded my pc is for a larger monitor to fly with.Anyway, thanks again all for the help and any more suggestions would be received gratefully.Cheers.................... ???
