Traffic for SimV

Postby ShaneG_old » Sat Nov 01, 2008 2:43 pm

Before I make my own, has anyone made or seen a traffic file for the two Simv airports? I like flying to and from these, but they are VERY empty! :(

World of AI has a function on their main page where you type in the IACO code of your airport and it will list all of their packages that fly there.

I have every PAI,MAIW,and WOAI, and none go to these airports. :(
It was made by the members here for online flying, I was just curious if any of them had put together an AI pack for it. :)

I'm not familiar with SimV. What airports are you talking about?

Plus there are many people who could put together a package for you...including me.

This is the European one: 7th down
http://simviation.com/simviation/static ... 5&page=109

This is the USA one: 3rd down
http://simviation.com/simviation/static ... 5&page=107

Just a really funplace to fly and practice landings. A runway of EVERY kind, including a carrier style! ;) If you could make a pack for these I would be eternally grateful, If only to have them going back and forth to eachother, and perferably using the MAIW and PAI sets. I don't use many of the WOAI, because since it was easier to get the PAI sets I got and installed them first. I hate going to a site for something only to be redirected to another site for the download, that's one of the things I like best about your site and PAI. ;)

Check these out, they are empty, but loads of fun & potential, and I bet quite a few others in here would enjoy an AI pack of my description as these airports were made by these members. ;)
Thanks for any help. :)

Shane,
I am unable to access using those links. It's asking for username and PW and since I'm not a 'paid' member I cannot get in.

Plus, for me to add AI I would need the scenery which would include a detailed AFCAD. That way I could make aircraft park in the correct parking spots.

Very sorry about that  :-[, I have fixed the links.  ;)

The Afcads & design group notes are here: http://groups.google.com/group/simviati ... l=en&pli=1
(both airports are identical, just different location)

And here is the thread about it's creation and it's progress in case you wanted more info on it: http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 71858489/0

Anything you do is appreciated. But if not, it won't be a huge loss as I appear to be the only one inteterested in this. ;)

well, I finally figured out what's going on...LOL.

But it seems as though the interest has died off. I don't see any posts regarding the release of this project. Most post's are over a year old. Unless I just didn't find them all.

Has this scenery package been released? without it and all it's associated files it will be near impossible to program any traffic for you.

Both sceneries are at the links he provided. ;) I would be interested in AI for these airports also. :) They are called the Simviation airports.
And the resource files are in his last post.

Yes it has been out for quite some time. I have both installed and fly at them regularly. ;) With over 17 kinds of runways, it makes for some great landing practice. The Afcads are in the source files link above at the bottom of that page. I'm really glad the original creators left that open. The scenery there is not the most realistic and detailed, but I don't think that was the point at the time. It was just a nice way to honor SimV with it's own airports.
Let me know what you think. If not , I do have TTools and know how to make my own traffic.bgls. I was merely looking for something that had been created before I set upon this project. I like flying with other peoples creations, gives my sim world that truly international flavor, if you know what I mean.  ;)
Thanks again. :)
