Adding Aircraft Traffic, airport gates, etc, to your Sim - AFCAD, TTools, Project AI, AI Aircraft, etc

The original installer these flightplans pointed me to is out of date, and the only thing it has in common with other installers is TTools. Does this mean something?
The overlying question is how I install these flightplans.

Not sure if I understand your question but if you are talking about how to add the flight plans the way to do that is to put the files you want to add in the same folder that TTOOLS is in than run TTOOLS it should make the needed bgl file and you than put that file into your SCENERY/WORLD SCENERY/SCENERY folder 8-)

Tried compiling the traffic BGL, but the planes are simply refusing to show. Did I do something wrong?

Do you have the required aircraft installed?
Are you looking at the right times? All times shown in the 'flightplans.txt' are GMT, not local time.
If you post the filename and download location of the flightplan it would be easier to provide specific help.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Multi step instructions
1: Get the models and install them
2: copy the repaints to the correct model
3: renumber aircraft.cfg
4: copy the whole section you just added to the airline's aircraft.txt.... usually there are multiple liveries for each airline (for example Kulban Airlines has 3 Yak-42 versions, one generic, and two special (one plane is named and one is in SC Rotor scheme)
5: sort out the order and correct regs in flightplans.txt
6: Compile with ttools
7: error-check with MRAI installer... some have the wrong sim= line.
8: get some reasonable AFCADs (see simviation site)
