Suicide AI

Postby Ijineda » Tue Nov 30, 2004 3:13 pm

Just added Aeroflot manually to Fs9, all the planes are there, so everything is fine. I sat down and wanted to watch the traffic in domodedovo a little; a Tu-154 took off, climbed to about 3000 feet and then suddenly began to lose altitude...30 seconds later she crashed into some suburbs of moscow. Why?? ???

Because the FDE is unsuitable for AI. Bung a suitable air file in from a default aircraft ;)

We won't really know too much until the Safety Board has the time to analyze the information from the cockpit voice and flight data recorders and issue their report.

:)

Haa

We see so many reports like this coming out of Russia and it satellites nowadays that despite the loss of virtual life involved, we hardly bat an eyelid, do we.

At least this thread seems to indicate that some of the veil of secrecy that was always present is being lifted, but is it really enough?

Would be nice to know if the technological and system improvements that were suggested have done anything to help avoid future problems, but until that old Curtain is fully raised for good, I think we might just have to go on waiting..... ???
