Adding Aircraft Traffic, airport gates, etc, to your Sim - AFCAD, TTools, Project AI, AI Aircraft, etc
by gassius_maximus » Sat Oct 09, 2004 10:48 pm
Hi everyone,
Ive already posted a similar question in the FS2004 section, and was directed here for some answers. Im trying to set up flight plans for military aircraft to take off and "patrol" around the area then return to the same base. Is this possible? If not, is it at least possible to set up flight plans so the aircraft circut a certain airport before landing there?
All help is very much appreciated,
Gaz.

I don't know about the patrol, but I have done circuits in FS2002. Use AITE and set departure and arrival airports the same.

GAZ, you can set up a patrol route. You need to make some fake airports in your airports.txt at the altitude of which you want the patrol route to fly.
http://www.flightsimmer.com/forums/show ... ght=patrolI did this with some tankers out of KPSM, they head out over the Atlantic to pick up receivers coming back from Europe.
If there is an airshow with in 2 states of me I'm there

that's a great idea, the fake airports....I'll try it

I'm more into the military flights and also missed the inexistence of C.A.P.'s and for refueling a/c it's a great way also...
cheers
