New Aircraft wont show up in FS98

Ok, i went to the help section on how to do this, i followed every step, i saved it to a new files i made, i extracted thefiled, i dragged and droped them to the aircraft section of my flight sim folder, but still when it loads the aircraft i downloaded is not showing up, and for those who want to know, im using windows 98, and im using IE for my internet.

Hi kenjisan. Download & install the FS98 Patch & FS98 Converter. http://www.simviation.com/fs98utilities_ess.htm
If you're sure you installed the aircraft correctly this should fix the problem.

PS. You don't need to use the Converter. Simply installing it should do the trick.

Actualy, i tried another aircraft just too see somthing, it worked, but im having problems Installing the sr71 Blackbird, any thoughts?

If you haven't installed the Patch & Converter please try them. I wouldn't mind betting your SR-71 will then magically appear. These are both official Microsoft updates.

I was able to get the FS98 patch to install, but for the converter, i have to open it with somthing so it will install, do you know what i should open it with?

It should be a standard EXE file. Double-click on it to run the install. I'm trying to download the Converter now to check it out. Did you have problems downloading it? If so I can probably find another link for you.

Another link would be great, a few would be real good, the problem is, my old IE sometimes wont show certain pages, it wouldnt go tot he download for the converter, my new IE does go to all pages, but it always says, when you want to download somthing "Netscape does not know what to do with this file, what do you want to do with it?" If you could find me another link that would be great

If you have problems downloading files I suggest you install a download manager. I can recommend DAP & wouldn't be without it. http://www.speedbit.com/DAP7/Default.asp?

*PS. I changed the link to the Converter. The first one didn't work. This one's direct from the M$ site.

Theres a tool I us, AIU "aircraft installer utility".  You right click on the zip file, open with AIU, and it does the rest, installing the plane onto you flight sim.
