Default AI, Eliminate

Hi,

How do I completly get rid of the Default Microsoft AI traffic? I have installed:

Project AI:

FS2004 Default Commercial Traffic Remover
FS2004 Default General Aviation Traffic Remover
FS2004 Default Vintage Traffic Remover

But my airports are still littered with the ugly default aircraft. Help....

cut and remove your traffic.bgl from your
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World\scenery directory

I would keep it just in case but move it to a subfolder for easy findings

Will that eliminate all the traffic or just default traffic?

Just change the extension to ".lgb" that way if something goes wrong you can just change it back.

If you add your AI traffic to the default files of aircraft.txt, airports.txt and flightplans.txt then this will remove them as well.

Just create a new bgl by copying the same 3 files and renaming them to aircraft_addon.txt and so on and remove everything but the stuff you've added.

Then decompile and it will give you a new traffic_addon.bgl with everything you've added and the default stuff can be removed

Or do what I did, overwrite the default textures with downloaded textures (make backups of course). I.E. replace the Airwave MD-83s with American Airlines MD-83s, etc.etc.
