Hi HSV
I have a lot of commercial and Air force AI in NZ
There is files available on this site to run you through this.
The main files you need are Traffic Tools and AFCAD which you can download here.
Once downloaded you want to get aquainted with the workings of both in the readme files.
With aircraft if you want all the airlines running and full schedules you need the specially designed AI aircraft (dont have many bites)which you can get here or at the Project AI site.
That site has complete schedules (eg Air NZ,Qantas) you can download and put on your system with a AI installer also downloadable from that site which puts in the aircraft, schedules and airports that may be missing.
Before you try this you should download one aircraft, follow instructions in Traffic Tools and set up one flight schedule. Once you do one and see it going it becames easy.
AFCAD lets you open up the plans of each airfield and alter or add runways, taxiways, parking spaces etc. Again read the AFCAD instructions, you will soon pick it up.
I have really heavy traffic running in NZ including helicopters from Hobsonville using info from dowloads from a nice gentleman called Hagar who is a resident on this site. I am sure he will let you in on some secrets
i am suprised he hasnt already replied to your post
Most important "read the instructions"

Thanks magicman,
I have just printed the manual, looks like a long read.
I would like to add traffic to Masterton and Paraparumu.
Do you know of anyone who has added traffic to these or other small airfields in New Zealand.

For a start there is a Air Wairarapa Chieftain Texture download available from:
http://www.arnz.myhost.co.nz/
You need to load the standard Aircraft from one of the main sites and then you add the texture and add it to the cfg file, if you havent done this i think the aircraft Texture file will tell you what to do.
This is something that you need to know how to do if you want to mix and match aircraft for AI
Plus a lot of other NZ commercial aircraft are on this site if you havent been there plus NZ Scenery.
Currently there is no scenery that I know of for  Paraparaumu and Masterton except for Kapiti Island which is also on this site.
AFCAD will allow you to set up the parking on these airfields to what ever you make them so even with default airports realistic AI flights make it look better
Other NZ sites if you dont already know are:
http://www.massey.ac.nz/%7Eavweb/papers ... /index.htm
http://www.windowlight.co.nz/ontarget/fslinks.html

Good to see another kiwi on the site.
Tell me, if an airport appears in the airport text file will it be able to take AI traffic straight away eg.. I would like to set up a single helicopter flight from Wellington to Paraparumu.

Try a standard aircraft   see if that works
Thats easy just convert the AC number in TTools Flight Plans to any Aircraft thats in the TTools Aicraft file
The other thing i yu got to check AFCAD files on both Wellington and Paraparaumu that all the rnways and taxiways are linked to parking spots. The other is that the parking spots need to suit the helo radius which if I remember wouldnt show. So you make them quite large
There is some issues between helos and aircraft
One is that using AFCAD you need to shorten the taxiways and actualy make the runway very close to parking spot also use two runways, one for landing and one for takeoffs. You can do this with AFCAD and position them handy to your parking spots
Give me your phone number and I will call you and I can send AFCAD file on Hobsonville by email to see how I have done it

Hi Guys. Im also In aucks and was going to use this long weekend to get stuck into learning traffic tools. Im using FS04 so can't use Afcad but theres a guy over thet the Gameplanet Newzealand forums who is setting up a ton of AI flights for NZ. Hes living in Wales at the moment though so just pops in every couple of weeks or so.
