St. Maarten

Postby ARFFguy20 » Tue May 06, 2003 9:46 pm

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has or would be willing to make a better looking Princess Jullianna airport in St. Maarten.  That is the one where the jets land VERY close to the beach and are only 500 ft. or so in the air over the beach while on final approach.  I was just wondering if there has been or if someone will add like the hotels, a better beach, maybe a fence around the airport so it looks a little more realistic.  Please let me know as I can get a few pics for you if you need them. Thanks!

that's funny I found this thread. I've been wanting to fly into this AP but had no clue of the name.

I've seen pic and video of it, is the default really bad?
If there is an airshow with in 2 states of me I'm there

the default one isn't that good, but landing there is always a challenge, no matter how bad the scenery is...

btw. post this stuff in the 'other addons' forum  ;D

as with anyone, 1 person's HORRIBLE might be 1/2 decent to others.   What you consider BAD, i see it as "yeah they could have different trees and such around the grounds, but it aint that bad considering what I came from"   For now, I am not looking for "PICTURE PERFECT" being that I just came from a computer that could not even get FSX to run 1fps with all sliders at 0.

Depending on what you want done to Princess Julianna, why not grab ADE (airport design editor) and dabble around with it and come up with something.  Then we can praise you when you give us something interesting.

Would that be for FS98, 2000 or 2002?

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

There is one on flightsim.com that I think is pretty good. I am not a fan of 2d people standing around, but other than that I think it is a god scenery.
Some say my pinky toe was replaced with a fountain pen, and that I love to ride on nuclear bombs with a saddle. All I know is.... I'm called THE STIG!!!!
