HD AS350B3 FS2004-> FSX

Postby coolmanak » Sun Jan 17, 2010 9:01 am

Has anybody done anything yet with the HD AS350B3 to make it compatible with FSX?

Thanks!

I don't know which one you're talking about, but there is a AS350B3 updated by Danny Garnier here, http://www.simviation.com/fsxhelicopters5.htm

Unfortnately that's not the addon.

The one I'm talking about is the Heli Development (HD) AS 350 B3 payware.

I've seen multiple videos on YouTube of a person using it in FSX, however they refuse to state their modifications or sources.

Thanks for the help though.

will that work for you???? ...... from what I can tell, it is the EXACT same heli that I found over at http://nemethdesigns.com/products.html (FS2004 side, top download).  Same color and all.  Then again, it might be the FSX updated version.

Disclaimer, being that I do not have FSX installed at the moment, and quite frankly do not plan to put it back on this computer because it can not handle FSX... I can not tell you if there is anything missing from it such as gauges or anything else.   .... DL on your own!

Unfortunatley this aircraft will not work.  It's a great AS350B2, but features such as mirrors, wire collision prevention extensions, and an advanced AS350B3 cockpit with complete systems are not modeled (because it's a B2, not a B3).

I know for sure there are modifications people have made, but I can not find them.

pardon me for the stupid question, but have you tried to contact HeliDesigns to see if they have done anything with the AS350 B3??? maybe they are working on it, or they know someone that is being they would have to give permission for someone else to do it.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I'll wait for there response.

UPDATE:

They wrote back with the following information (sumaried):
-They are a small company who have the availible resources to make a realistic FS2004 AS350B3.  They are not a big company and do this secondary to other jobs, but if they come across the time for such a large project as an FSX rebuild they will do it.

-They allow user modifications to be made to the product if it is for personal use only.

-Everything in the helicopter is FSX compatible except the LCD screens (the main gauges are fine).  However some texture lines will have to be changed, and they were kind enough to provide me with the line modifications.

-They are aware of a full modification to get everything to work in FSX, however they are not sure of where to locate it.

Currently the only thing that needs modificaton is the LCD screen display.

So if anybody could help me find the modification, that would be great.

Thanks for the help everybody who has contributed!
