TFR - Terrain Following Autopilot. There is some?

There is some gauge / Autopilot that allows to very low flyig - following terrain? You know, up and down the hills... I know many modern figters / bomber have TFR to evade enemy radars...

Many FS models have the radio altimeter that basicaly indicate the heigh over the terrain... so I think is posible, to keep a constant heigh like the ALT autopilot but link to the Radio Altimeter.

Some have it.. the old lago tornado did i think.. but as mentioned it runs of the radio alt, so its always a bit behind itself.. where a real TFR looks ahead of the a/c, FS cant do that  :(

My original autoland gauge (downloads section) used-ground following logic before intercepting the glideslope. I'll have a look at it to see if I can modify it to fit what you want. What radio altitude were you thinking of, as this would need to be coded into the gauge?



EDIT: Done it, it was easier than I thought - although as igorski says, it is radio-altimeter-based, so reacts rather than looks ahead, which I don't think is feasible. However, it will react at the rate your default vertical speed is set in the aircraft.cfg, so it can still react quickly if set to do that. Anybody who wants to try it out, contact me on PM with your email address - but do it quickly as I'm not going to have internet access for a week after tonight (GMT). Two initial heights, 500 feet and 1000 feet.

Hey, thank for looking.

I've been searching and found a Mike Stone's F-111 (some variants and repaints) and Steve Hess Panel. A quiet good panel with a TFR autopilot.

I'm tested and works great but this aircraft is not much like a fighter and if you fly too low tends to crash in the hills. As you said.

I believe it can be a fun addon to put in an agile figter like the F-16 or Tornado..
