Some basic help please

Postby Marlin » Sun Sep 04, 2005 4:01 pm

OK, I have been around for a little while but things like scenery, are an oddity to me.

Here is my basic question. I was looking for an Area 51 screnery that has maybe a tower and a refueling station and came across Groom Lake AFB, Area 51 AFCAD file.

Now can I just install this without having the AFCAD program on my computer and itill show up like scenery? Or not?

Thanks

AFCAD2 Program is not required to add scenery or AF2 files to FS9.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Copy the Area 51 folder into your Addon Scenery folder under FS9.
2. Start FS9 and add the Area 51 folder to your scenery library.

This is how FS9 scenery is usually added to FS9

But beware, being Area 51, no matter what you do, it may not show up at all! :P

Right on, I love this place.

OK, so I got it working no problem. Butttt I can't seem to find an area that doesn't really exist even though there ARE photos of the place, that has lets say maybe a control tower and some buildings maybe??????

Can someone direct me to a file that has just more than a couple of runways??
