Does anyone know where I can get a modern panel for a 747 that is not payware .

Please, it won't harm you if you search for one yourself first. There are plenty of good ones on AVSIM.  :)

I am also looking for a panel that is frame-rate friendly. The default one is not that great on frames.

Are the panels you sugested easier on frames than the default?

It depends which view you are finding un-frame friendly.  Usually the VC is the biggest frame robber but the solution to that is just don't use it.  I rarely use VC'c because zooming into what I need to read is cumbersome with the keyboard assignments.  Now, if MS makes VC panels zoomable with the mousewheel then maybe I'll use them but i'll tell you though, a good 2D panel with good photorealistic interior shots is just as useful.

Hi, check out this thred for all your best info on the Best ( my opinion and I used to work in the Kytes ) flight deck for the 747-400, I put it into the Meljet and she's a TOP bird now.
