Historic scenery wishlist

Postby roswell » Thu Jan 09, 2003 4:33 am

8) hello.I am looking for Historic scenery for fs2002.What i mean by Historic is scenery of ancient ruins made to look like they did before they became ruins. The only  scenery of this type that i have found is RAAD HERMES, Babylon scenery for fs2000 (babel.zip from flightsim.com).This type of scenery would look great for other sites like: Egypt (the fs2002 scenery is terrible here),Inca ruins in South America,Atlantis,Easter island, ancient rome, etc. If anyone is working on scenery like this,or has info on any scenery of this type let me know. thanks ........

Working on a few such ideas, but how creative should we be?  Should we embelish buildings to make things look cooler from the air?  Should we add structures that may have been there?  It would be more fun to design and maybe more fun to fly over if we could take some fictional liberties...a la Tomb Raider style. What do you think?

your ideas sound great.I am in the process of learning scenery design,I just got the G-MAX Bible, book to learn more about G-MAX.I am working on createing scenery for the Tonopah Testing Range thats in Nevada.I have not bean very good at designing buildings,so i have learned to use scenery macros and convert some aircraft to API macros. The idea of historical scenery came from watching the discovery channel, and seeing computer generated renditions of what some ancient ruins looked like when they were intact. the scenery would probably be more of a view from the air kind of thing.let me know how your project's going..........
