Any Good Plane With a Tailhook?

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Any Good Plane With a Tailhook?

Postby Strawberry Yogurt » Sat May 15, 2010 8:31 am

All of the carrier based jets I have don't have an arresting cable. I have FSX Deluxe, no Acceleration for now (new video card needed). Is there one out there that has an exceptional tailhook? I'm looking at getting an F-18 or F-14. Also, what are some good carrier-based helicopters? :question
I went outside once. The graphics weren't all that great.

Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.

Believe Dino Cattaneo's (freeware) Tomcat and Goshawk both have tailhooks.

Dino's Goshawk requires Accleration, but someone "updated" his Tomcat for use without Accleration, http://simviation.com/simviation/?ID=64 ... &mark=6050
To go along with Dino's F-14, http://simviation.com/simviation/?ID=64 ... &mark=6114

In addition to that, http://simviation.com/simviation/?ID=61 ... &mark=8379 (you can add a tailhook through the Control Menu).

When you do get Accleration, get Dino's T-45C & F-14D (with Jivko Rusev's HUD fix), and Tim Conrad's A-1 Skyraider, http://simviation.com/simviation/?ID=64 ... &mark=8504 & http://www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SE ... raider.zip (with update)

Uh... Thanks. I'll try these out. Do you know any good non-acceleration carriers that have cables? By the way, I have acceleration; I just can't install it until I get my new computer! >:(
