I don't have it installed but according the the author's original announcement over at The Old Hanger, it works fine in FSX.

Append: Added the Vans RV to FSX, works fine except....needs the Extra-300 gauge files from FS9 (mostly for the 2-D cockpit) or modify panel.cfg to use FSX gauges.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
