RCAF Textures - P-51, T-33, F-86

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

RCAF Textures - P-51, T-33, F-86

I can't seem to find any of the above in FS9 other than the "Golden Hawk" version of the F-86. They were the Air Acrobatic team, and I would prefer a good ole run of the mill Korean War combat version.

I have found some P-51's in CFS2 bearing the colours of several Canadian squadrons and one of them should do nicely, but since I have yet to import any CFS2 aircraft in FS9, might I encounter any problems in doing so?

And the T-33 - Anyone know if such a texture exists?

Hi Jim. Kirk Olsson's F-86 Sabre Package includes two RCAF versions, unpainted & camo. http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military106.htm

Piglet did a T-33 for FS9. If you look round you should find a RCAF repaint for it. http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military24.htm

There's also several P-51 models around. The popular one is by Warwick Carter. Again, you might have to search round for repaints.

Thanks Hagar. I already have Piglet's T-33A. so I'll keep looking around for a repaint.

I've downloaded Ollson's monster file. There are actually 4 RCAF Sabres in there, the 2 you mentioned, the Golden Hawk, and an infamous red one. That'll keep me busy.

I'm going to download one of the P-51's from CFS2 and see how it works.

Thanks again

of the planes that Hagar suggested, the best of the bunch is the Warwick Carter P-51, it is far superior to anything you'll find from CFS,
you get it on this page http://www.gjsmith.net/Textures/P-51D.htm

I downloaded the Warwick Carter P-51 and an RCAF livery from that site. Both work very nicely. Thanks for the advice.
