Tornado GR4 for FSX

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Tornado GR4 for FSX

Postby machineman9 » Sun Mar 15, 2009 10:34 am

I had a quick search on SimV forums and SimV download area, but I couldn't find what I was looking for.

Does anyone know where I could get a really good quality Panavia Tornado GR4 which is FSX compatible?

Freeware is ideal, but as this is something I am really hoping to get, then some payware alternatives may also be acceptable.

Cheers

The download appears to be broken. It downloads in a second with a 0byte ZIP. Any ideas? Just damaged link?

I managed to get it from Googling it. Seems to be the same package.

Though, I was looking for something a bit higher quality (so probably something payware) and also the VC doesn't fully work for me - The glass is opaque (probably due to wrongly converted textures) and the flying dynamics seem a bit strange.

Any other alternatives, which I presume might have to be payware from here on?

Well, this Tornado was formally a payware model for FS9. Now, you can convert the vc glass to make them see thru, I've done it with this model. May wanna check out what they have over at ukmil.

How could I convert it?

I looked at UKMIL and they had some textures etc for the DSB GR4. So I am downloading that now (along with some other funky aircraft)

None of the above! Where did you get that model? This one adapted by Danny Gernier seems to work for me. reflective glass and good gauges.  :)
