A10 Warthog

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Hi Hagar ,

That is a great looking panel . Thanks for taking the time to check the file .  I have not been able to get to the point that I have the option to direct it to my temporary folder so must have a corruped file .  I'll re-download again tonight .

thanks a lot ,

Jamie

This the stage where you redirect the path. Click on the Change Directory button.

Image

The second 'Change Directory' window will open. Select any location on your C: drive you wish to extract it to. Type any path you like in the box & it will automatically create the folder.* Then click OK

Finally click the big square button to extract it.

*For example you could type C:\A10

Hello Hagar ,

I never got to that point so am sure it is corrupted .  I do know how to send things to a folder when given the opportunity , but simply could not open the install file so it just has to be bad .   Thanks again for trying it so I at least know the file is OK .  I'll let you know what I get when I download it again , but may be late tonight .

Thanks ,

Jamie

That's strange. Which OS are you using? Did you have any problems extracting the zipfile?

PS. You must extract the zipfile for it to work.

Hi Hagar ,

My operating system is normal I guess and runs on 110 Volts !!    Just kidding !!  I have XPSP2 .   When I unzip the file I get A10_1 and A10_2 .  When I open A10_1 I get three items --   Setup.exe file , Setup.lst and a cab file ( Webinblue ) .  When I attempt to run the exe file I get " could not open to file name -- etc. and then get a page that says Setip.lst could not be copied .  Setup cannot continue .

Gotta be a corrupted file ?????????  I just downloaded a Caribou and it came out fine , but did not have the automatic installers .

If the file was corrupt you wouldn't be able to open it. Does this look familiar?

What about this?

That's what happens when you try to run the installer from inside the zipfile without extracting it.

PS. Right-click on A10a.zip & select Extract All. Follow the wizard & extract to the default path. You will find the extracted folder sitting right next to the zipfile.

Well Hagar ,

I finally got it !!!!   I guess I am just not that familiar with the newer way of doing stuff ( automatic installer ) .  I took the files out and put them on the desktop and all went great .  Have not installed the second file yet , but am sure it is OK now .  Apparently my main problem was not opening things properly .
Hate to have caused so much disription in your day and also that of shane .

Much appreciated ,

Jamie

Glad we finally got there. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I enjoy doing this sort of thing. Used to do a lot of it before things started getting complicated. ;)
