A380

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

A380

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could point me to the best Freeware Airbus A380. Future support for a networked flight display would be nice as well. I read most free FD's don't do well with non-default planes(is that true?). Anyway any help would be appreciated :).

Thanks,
Aiden

I found one with "future a380 aircrafts" that ill put up on here tonight where i got it.
It uses a 747 cockpit.

I use Ken Mitchell's A340 panel for the A380, it's very good. Robert Versluys' AI model is about the only freeware model out there at the moment, but it's pretty good too. There was going to be a new A380 from FSFrance before they shut up shop last year, so I'm not sure if we'll ever see it. Pity.

Im haveing some problems with the a340 panel. I installed it but when Click fly the game returns to the desktop before it loads the sim. Did I do something wrong?

Here's the website i got mine from. The liveries are- Air France, Continental, KLM, Ethiopian Airlines, Palestinian Airlines, and UPS cargo. No Singapore Airlines  :(

Its the second to last one but the only bad part is that the cockpit is a 747 cockpit but its better than nothing. Let me know what you think.

You have to wait 10 minutes before even starting to download inless you donate money to the website.

If anyone can find me a A380 Singapore Airlines that would be great but not those shitty ones made by CamSim

Thanks for the link! Any ideas on the panel though? Maybe I can find an Airbus VC somewhere, maybe take one from an a340 if possible/allowed.

thanks for all the help! Ill look around for a VC. By the way do you know the specs for the air bus, It overstrained while climbing from 10000 to 20000 at 1000vs wich was odd.

thanks,

What do you mean by it overstrained while climbing from 10000 to 20000?  :-?

sry

what I meant was I set auto pilot to climb to 20,000ft once ATC directed me. The vertical speed was set at 1000ft per minute (747 is 1800.) The climb was going great and I was at 360 knots. Next thing I know it switches to third person and says aircraft overstrained and the wing looked funny. I'm assuming the Airbus can't climb as fast/steep. I wonder if anybody has the documentation for this plane because its hard to guess its limits. I rotated at 200kias and had to fly at 1500 for 30 seconds before climbing or I would have stalled and landed in the nearby city of Seattle :o.

Nice model though, I really need to find a Virtual Cockpit for it :)

Okay well a problem i had with it was that i was flying out of Amsterdam and when im trying to get my altitude for 10,000 feet at about 1,200 ft/min the nose just kept going up and it stalled. Thankfully i recovered it and set it for 900ft/min and It worked fine after that, I dint give 1,000 a try i dint want my passengers to puke.  ;D Then when i was climbing for 30,000 feet at about 900 it did what it did in the begining. I then fixed it fast no problems and set it for 500 ft/min when cruising to 30,000 feet. So far im at 31,000 feet, 2 recovered stalls  ;D, and 6 hours until i reach my final destination of JFK Intl.

Hopefully that might help you out when your trying to fly with this version. Ive also gotten a mail from someone who goes through the posts saying i should look for the A380 on simv. When i did search all the ones i found were a demoversion and the one that wasnt was the A3XX (before they knew what to call it). If anyone can find me a Singapore Airlines A380 that would be fantastic  :D

Also let me know if that helps when your crusing your altitude to 30,000 feet. :)
