Jet trainer question

Postby tag86 » Fri Apr 20, 2007 11:14 pm

Hi, I was just wanting to get some opinions on what is the best jet trainer available for fs2004.
It can be freeware or payware.
I was thinking of something around the size of the bae hawk that can go around 600 knots.
Any opinions?

The Ex-Payware DSB F-5E is very nice (Along with it's counter-parts).

The DSB Hawk (Ex-Payware), is again, very nice.

Simshed also has a Folland Gnat available here on SimV.

I believe there's a T-38 hanging around somewhere.

By the way, This would be better off here... http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... rd=aircwnt

The Soko Galeb http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military28.htm is just one of the best trainer jets out there PERIOD!
For a preview you can always check out this video of Dave (Fly2e) and myself in 'em up on the California coast 8-) http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb.c ... n_line.zip

what about jets with more modern cockpits?

PS. Thanks for moving this, I wasn't sure if it had to go here as I am not asking for a new model

That'll be the T-38 from FSD, I still fly it now and then.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will definitely have to have a look at that hawk package if it has a glass cockpit.

Thanks for all the help
