I'd look at everything by Rick Piper and Milton Shupe & co. ;)

Best flight dynamics, I'd say RealAir 172, but it's the default 72' just with new flight dynamics.

Carden-Baynes Twin Bee, or Hordern-Richardson Autoplane ... both nice runabouts...

Systems wise: Yak-18T and Yak-12.
Looks and flyability: any Milton Shupe machine
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur
