I have been looking for the DSB (or now IRIS) UK fighters pack because I remember looking at it a long whiler back but now IRIS has released this:
"As many of you know, the UK Fighters pack was removed from sale a few months back. There have been numerous requests for us to release it freeware, however in light of Alphasim's development of HMS Ark Royal and a RN Phantom and RAF Phantom pack, we have decided not to release the product freeware as not to potentially damage Alphasim's sales.
For those wishing to jump on us with a comment of our quality versus alphasim's upcoming product, please note that the above statement is NOT any reflection on either companies quality or content, but merely a professional courtesy towards Alphasim in light of their upcoming release.
What we have chosen to do is release our rights to prosecution over file sharing of this product. As such, whilst it is still no longer freeware and as such cannot be uploaded to FTP or Flightsim websites (Flightsim.com, and simviation to name two), we will not prosecute or seek to prosecute users of the software who distribute it peer to peer.
As such, please feel free to share via MSN and the like with those who wish to obtain the files. Even PM each other on this forum, however we will not be distributing it ourselves..."
Does anyone have any insight on this problem. The planes looked cool, and I really wanted them but I cannot get the package.
